How KHLA works.

Every KHLA unit is a self-contained smart public toilet — a prepaid entry system, an automated cleaning loop, a hybrid resource setup, and a live link to the operations dashboard.

The user session

Access is gated by payment. Once granted, the user has a five-minute session with a visible countdown. Warnings play in the final 30–60 seconds. On hard timeout, the door auto-unlocks and the cleaning cycle begins.

Payment-first access

Bank card payment is the primary entry method, with QR code as an alternative. The mobile app supports single-use entries and prepaid bundles.

Automated cleaning

A two-minute automated cycle runs after every use. No staff, no schedule — every user enters a freshly cleaned unit.

Exception handling

The system is system-first, operator-second. Abuse, vandalism, or hardware faults trigger alerts to the operations team, who can intervene remotely or dispatch on-site.
